Urban Cyclist is a new quarterly magazine for riders who know that riding in a city is a fantastic feeling. It doesn’t matter what you ride, and it certainly doesn’t matter if you’re singlespeed or fixed, all that matters is that you ride and that you do it for joy.

Much of what defines urban cycling is personal style. Instead of telling you which bottle cage is the lightest, we’ll do our best to help you find the gear and bike that suits your style and riding.

To that end, this issue has tests of jackets and shoes that look great away from your bike yet feel brilliant to ride in, too. We feature first looks at loads of brand new gear including exclusives from the US.

The Bikes section includes stylish sub-£300 flat-bar bikes and flat-out fixed gear track racers, plus a Schwinn load lugger, a chic ladies’ Creme and a do-it-all Tokyo Fixed.

Between the gear and the bikes we packed in features with beautiful photography chronicling widely disparate aspects of urban cycling from Las Vegas to Tuscany via Bristol. Be warned, it’s likely to make you want to jump on your bike and ride.
